چکیده

Abstract Many experiments show that strong excitations of correlated quantum materials can cause non-thermal phases without equilibrium analogues. Understanding the origin and properties these nonequilibrium states has been challenging due to limitations theoretical methods for strongly systems. In this work, we introduce a generalized Gibbs ensemble description enables systematic analysis long-time behavior photo-doped in Mott insulators based on methods. We demonstrate power method by mapping out phase diagram one-dimensional extended Hubbard model, which features η -pairing charge density wave wide photo-doping range. furthermore clarify peculiar kinematics carriers, interaction between them, play an essential role formation phases. Our results establish new path

Parent phases of doped Mott insulators: a Cluster DMFT study

We investigate the insulating phases of a frustrated Hubbard model in its strong coupling regime at half-filling. We pay special attention to all the symmetry breaking instabilities that can be described by Dynamical Mean Field Theory (DMFT) on a square plaquette. We identify several mean-field solutions, two Néel states breaking the SU(2) symmetry, a dimer phase and a Mott insulator which does...

Confinement-deconfinement interplay in quantum phases of doped Mott insulators.

In the t-J model, the electron fractionalization is dictated by the phase string effect. We find that in the underdoped regime, the antiferromagnetic and superconducting phases are dual: in the former, holons are confined while spinons are deconfined, and vice versa in the latter. These two phases are separated by a novel phase, the so-called Bose-insulating phase, where both holons and spinons...

Electronic Liquid Crystal Phases in Hole Doped Mott Insulators

Theoretical, numerical, and experimental studies have suggested the existence of ‘striped’ electronic phases in doped antiferromagnets such as the high temperature superconductors. We survey the literature and summarize the results.

Dual vortex theory of doped Mott insulators

We present a general framework for describing the quantum phases obtained by doping paramagnetic Mott insulators on the square lattice. The undoped insulators are efficiently characterized by the projective transformations of various fields under the square lattice space group (the PSG). We show that the PSG also imposes powerful constraints on the doped system, and on the effective action for ...

Theory for slightly doped antiferromagnetic mott insulators.

New trial wave functions, constructed explicitly from the unique Mott insulating state with antiferromagnetic order, are proposed to describe the ground state of a Mott insulator slightly doped with holes or electrons. A rigid band is observed as charged quasiparticles with well-defined momenta being realized in these states. These states have much less superconducting correlations than previou...
